Based in Powerstown, Co. Kilkenny just a short spin from Goresbridge.
Powerstown Stud is set on almost 200 acres, comprising of three separate yards
- Foaling Yard
- Isolation Yard
- Pre-training and Breeze Up yard.

Main Yard

The main yard is made up of:
  • 140 acres
  • 23 stables
  • Well-ventilated Inside barn.
  • 5  foaling stables
  • Indoor Open shed with a capacity for 4 mares
  • Light System Timer. Extra Strong (New Bay) in 3 stables and Open Shed.
  • 2 All-Weather Paddocks with automatic drinkers and hay troughs.
  • Horse Walker
Each mare has a stitch in foaling alarm fitted but there is also the added security of 7 cameras connected to mobile phones and a television in the house.
All-weather paddocks are used during the winter and post-weaning of Mares.

Pre-Train/ Breeze Up

On the Breeze up / Pre-training yard there are
  • 32 stables
  • 5 furlong Gallop
  • Horse Walker
  • Lunge Ring
  • 50 Acres

Quarantine Yard

The Quarantine yard is located a mile from the main yard and comprises of 7 stables.
All horses that return from the sales will stay at this yard before being introduced to any other yard.
